If you would like a free no obligation 15 minute consultation to see if this would suit you, please phone Gill on 07833 771435.About GillI became an acupuncturist after receiving treatment for a severe muscle spasm. The local hospital was unable to help but I was recommended an acupuncturist and she treated me. So began my interest in complementary therapy.
My previous career was in dental hygiene, which I had been doing since 1976, mainly in London.
My new career since 1993, as an acupuncturist in Shropshire, is much more rounded as it encompasses everything in one's life. My previous career did give me a sound knowledge of physiology and anatomy which I have found to be really invaluable for medical and musculo-skeletal problems although the art of acupuncture is always present.

As well as specialising in pain relief, my other specialist work is Facial Acupuncture and Stopping Smoking Facial AcupunctureAt the beginning of the sessions, there will be an assessment of which points to use and then an application of local anaesthetic cream. The points can be used without cream but it is more relaxing to use it. To complete the health session, you will benefit from having well-being acupuncture, to maintain good health, which is usually done while the anaesthetic cream takes effect.
As the session is non-surgical, you can carry on with the rest of your day as normal after the one hour appointment.
